To emphasise the bi-national cooperation between the Belgian and Dutch navy, they are jointly building a real Navy village near the Ernest Feysplein in the extension of the "blue boulevard". Here, you will not only be able to obtain information about all the capabilities of The Belgian Navy and the history of the ship Godetia (with Ostend as its godfather city), but you can also take a leap into the world of defence at sea with all kinds of activities.
Come face-to-face with a diver, experience life on board in a virtual world (VR) and test your climbing skills on the steep climbing tower. If this is still not good enough to convince you, there are also always the sea cadets who will eagerly teach everyone the knots of the trade, literally. Above all, don't forget to visit the Dutch diving vessel Hydra. It will be moored in the Mercator dock next to the Hydrograph. Next week you will be able to reed more about the venue of the Hydra.
To finish off, after this overall experience, you can get your hands on lots of gadgets at the stand of the Association for Naval Aids. In short, a promising package of attractions and a maritime event not to be missed!
