Distant Drum

Distant Drum was designed by Bill Dixon and laid out in 1989 by Croft Marine in Coventry. Only 3 Calisto Bermudan Cutters of her size have been built, one of which is in New Zealand.

During the first 24 years, 2 different owners sailed far and wide with her. The current owners bought her after several years of neglect. They worked hard and intensively for two years to sail with her to faraway places again. The ship has a really sleek design and is like a 'Tardis' inside. Many sailors refer to her as a 'go anywhere' yacht.
