Marguerite III

The 'Marguerite III' is a seaworthy yacht from a classic period in yachting history, type Carter 37.

She was built in 1972 and has a moderate ballast/displacement ratio while retaining traditional shapes. She was built in Greece and designed by British Engineer Dick Carter, known for his high-speed racing boats. This Carter 37 is well maintained and comfortable for long distance cruising. Thanks to the support of the vzw Oostende voor Anker, she is used for initiation sailing at sea for young people who would never get the chance due to their family background. Every year 'Marguerite III' sails off the Belgian coast with young people mainly from the Royal Work IBIS.
