Shantygroep Kimber's Men (UK)

Kimber’s Men was founded in 2001 by musicians Neil Kimber – bosun’, John Bromley – ship’s cook, Joe Stead – ship’s doctor and Roger “Tonky” Hepworth – the ship’s cabin boy. In 2005, Roger left them for the eternal east when he died from cancer. The group was never the same, because they missed not only the person, but also his friendship and his exceptional harmonies from his guitar. But to his memory and not to forget, the group continued to sing at maritime festival.
