Malle Babbe

In the eighties of the last century, a number of lemsteraken with a length of approximately 12 meters were designed by the yacht architect H. Lunstroo. The “Malle Babbe” is one of them. The ships were built in different places.

The “Malle Babbe”, which was launched in 1977 under the name “Lady Eleonore”, was built by Verwelius in Huizen. Mr. de Gooijer van Kok has fitted the ship. The Huizer Marina used to be owned by mr. Verwelius. A number of barges were then reconstructed in Huizen after the example of the wooden Lemsteraak 'Zevija'.

Ship carpentry company Molle in Lith renovated the Lemsteraak in 2015.
