Mare Frisium

The 'Mare Frisium' began her career under the name 'Petronella' as a herring fishing vessel in the North Sea. She was built at the Weerter Scheepsbouw shipyard in the Netherlands. She is a classic three-masted schooner.

After World War II, she became a coaster operating between Scandinavia and England, under the name 'Helmut'. She ended her career in the 1950s in Sweden, where she was destined for scrapping.

In 1995, she was rescued by the Dutch and transformed into a luxury sailing yacht. Her classic lines and solid construction make her an impressive sight. She is a striking and elegant example of maritime history and contemporary craftsmanship.
