“Margarethe”, a KR10 Seekreuzer Yawl ”, was built by two brothers between 1961 and 1964 in Bremen according to a plan by Anton Miglitsch. It is part of the collection of the German museum harbor in Flensburg.
The KR10s have long served as a training ship for German naval officers in Flensburg.
After numerous voyages to the North Sea and the Baltic, including several crossings to Scotland and the Caledonian Canal via the famous Loch Ness, the 2 brothers finally handed over the helm to a KR fanatic in Flensburg in 2000. From then until 2008 the ship was part of the collection of the Harbor Museum of Flensburg in Germany. Since then, “Margarethe” has been based in Ostend and takes great pleasure in participating in Ostend at Anchor every year.
