This authentic Danish oak Baltic cutter, built in 1932, is a rare surviving example of traditional coastal fishing craft. Originally — as was customary at the time — it was painted entirely blue, a colour it still proudly carries today.
The cutter fished on the Storebælt and the Baltic Sea until around 1976, after which it was taken out of active service. In 1978, the vessel travelled to the Netherlands together with four other wooden Danish cutters. The other four ships sank during the journey due to their poor condition; this cutter is the only survivor of that voyage.
In 2003, the entire deckhouse was thoroughly renovated and renewed. The vessel has been in the hands of its current owners since 1996, who have made several voyages back to Denmark with her in recent years.
