The 'Wandering Star' is a 1977 Formosa 41 designed by William Garden. This transatlantic ketch, with its central cockpit, aft cabin and classic lines, owes its character to the wood‑look polyester hull, the teak details and the Oregon pine masts.
After German and Dutch ownership, the vessel was fully restored over three years by its current Belgian owner and relaunched in 2019.
Today, the 'Wandering Star' sails along the Atlantic coasts and the North Sea Canal, taking part in maritime events such as the Ostrea Race, the Fêtes Maritimes (Brest & Douarnenez), the Vieux Gréements (Paimpol) and the Festival des Chants Marins.
