ZeeBONK

ZeeBONK is a subsidy program for the local fishing and aquaculture community on the Belgian coast. It supports projects focused on education, culture, and tourism, and which contribute to the preservation of coastal heritage or a smaller environmental impact. The fishing and aquaculture sector forms the core of ZeeBONK: local actors collectively determine, within a local group, which initiatives receive support. This support is made possible with European, Flemish, and provincial funds, through the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund, the Financing Instrument for the Flemish Fishing and Aquaculture Sector, and the Province of West Flanders.
